We are seeking a Scrum Master to lead and oversee the delivery of our diverse range of products and services. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our projects are executed efficiently, meet the highest quality standards, and exceed client expectations. The agency has recently adopted agile software development methodologies, with much of this still being rolled out. The Scrum Master will be pivotal in helping with this rollout and will provide coaching and support to team members who are using the methodology for the first time. You will have an open mind and be happy to flex the process as required to meet client needs using your judgement and experience of agile delivery.

  • Lead development team(s) through sprint planning, daily sprint activity, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives.

  • Ensure that requirements are broken down into meaningful tasks for the development teams, with tasks prioritised and estimated appropriately.

  • Maintain a backlog that will utilise the available capacity across the development, marketing and design teams for at least three sprints.

  • Monitor team capacity and highlight potential availability to management.

  • Define development milestones to be fed into portfolio plans.

  • Identify and resolve impediments and dependencies.

  • Identify and manage risks and issues to delivery.

  • Partner with stakeholders across internal teams to support resource management.

  • Manage trade-offs among scope, quality, time, and cost

  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.

  • Report and escalate to management as needed.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

  • Two or more years’ experience in a Scrum Master role, with strong working knowledge of:

    • Agile estimation

    • Scrum, kanban and the benefits of each

    • Leading of agile ceremonies

    • Benefits of iterative product development

    • How to break high-level requirements down into technical tasks

    • Jira

    • Ability to use Excel to calculate data and present complex information

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Must be an excellent communicator with aptitude in fostering long-term relationships – indeed you may even have clients that will move agency to stay with you

  • Awesome Problem-solving skills

  • Able to work autonomously.

  • Unfaltering attention to detail

  • The ability to take complex solutions and explain them in a way that a client understands and can therefore approve

  • Equally the ability to take an ambiguous brief and know what questions to ask to pin down the exact requirements

  • Have a genuine passion for your work and all things digital

  • Whilst this role is not a Business Analyst or Product Owner/Manager role, experience of Product Management and capturing requirements via story mapping sessions be advantageous as we plan for this role to have hybrid responsibilities.

  • Scrum Master qualification.

We are a studio-first agency and ask our team to all come in together on a Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. It is optional to work from home on Wednesday and Thursday after successfully completing your probation.
